This intercity VIP transfer guide gathers the long routes from Istanbul and Izmir on one page. It covers how long each route takes, how breaks are planned and what to check before you book.
When does an intercity VIP transfer make sense?
The bus and the plane are often cheaper. However, reaching the terminal, waiting for departure and finding another vehicle on arrival all inflate the total time. On top of that, every change is extra fatigue for a family with luggage.
A private transfer, by contrast, removes all of those steps. As a result, the journey starts at your door and ends at your destination address. That is why, for larger groups, families with heavy luggage and business travellers on tight schedules, an intercity VIP transfer is usually the most efficient choice.
Intercity routes from Istanbul
The first ring of routes from Istanbul is the nearby escapes. For example, Sapanca is about 1.5 hours away, and the Kocaeli corridor is a similar distance. Şile, meanwhile, is a 1–1.5 hour coastal route inside the province.
At mid distance, Bursa takes about 2.5 hours and Abant 3–3.5 hours. For longer plans, Ankara is a 4.5–5 hour journey and Çanakkale 4–4.5 hours. Of course, all times vary with traffic, and an exact arrival time is not guaranteed.

Intercity routes from Izmir
On the Izmir side, the routes stretch along the coast. Cesme and Alacati are about an hour away, Kusadasi an hour and a quarter. In the summer season especially, these routes see the heaviest demand.
For longer plans, Pamukkale takes about 3 hours and Bodrum 3.5 hours. Pamukkale, for example, can be planned as a day trip, with your driver waiting throughout the visit.

Breaks, extra stops and the return leg
On a long road, small details decide the comfort. For example, on request a short break is planned at a suitable rest area. In addition, an extra stop or a second destination address can be added when you book.
The return leg is its own topic. Because gathering the outbound and the return in one plan simplifies both the schedule and the communication, we recommend sharing both dates together when booking.
- The break point is agreed together on request
- Extra stops and a second address are planned at booking
- A return transfer is arranged on request
- Any effect on the price is shared in advance
How intercity transfer pricing works
The price is set from the route, the destination address and any extra requests. In practice, some routes have a published starting route price; on others, the price is confirmed before reservation and becomes final with your approval.
Items such as motorway, bridge and crossing tolls, and what the price covers, are shared clearly before booking. In short, your budget is known before you set off.
Your pre-booking checklist
A well-planned intercity transfer runs far more smoothly with a few details in place. So run through the list below before sending your reservation request.
- Pickup address and departure time: planned together around traffic
- Destination address, with the complex, villa or venue name
- Passenger and luggage count: capacity is confirmed in advance
- Baby seat (0–4): note the request when booking; availability is confirmed in advance
- Breaks, extra stops and the return date: share them up front if any
