A baby seat is the most important safety topic on family transfers with small children. This guide explains the general guidance and the Vanvia request process, clearly separated.

Why a baby seat matters so much

On a car journey, the safest place for a small child is a seat suited to their age, because seat belts are designed for adult bodies. For the same reason, Turkish traffic regulations require small children to travel with a proper restraint system.

Travelling on a lap is not a safe alternative. In sudden braking, an adult's grip is not enough. In short, even on a short airport transfer, a proper seat is the right choice for the family.

Seats by age group: general guidance

This section is general guidance. Seats usually fall into three groups: a rear-facing infant carrier for babies, a child seat for roughly ages 1–4, and a booster for older children. The right group depends on the child's age, height and weight.

Correct installation matters at least as much as the seat choice. So whichever seat is used, the fitting should be checked before the journey.

How a baby-seat request works at Vanvia

Vanvia's current policy is clear: you can request a baby seat (0–4) during reservation, and availability is confirmed before booking. For that reason, adding the passengers' ages to the booking note makes planning easier.

For older children, share your need during reservation as well, and a suitable solution is reviewed together. If you prefer to bring your own seat, simply mention it in the booking note.

Tips that make a family transfer easier

Journeys with small children get easier with a plan. For example, share your space needs for a pushchair and extra luggage in advance. That way the roomy Mercedes-Benz Vito VIP cabin is arranged accordingly.

If you share your flight details, the pickup is also planned around your landing. On long routes you can discuss a rest stop with your driver. As a result, a little preparation makes a calm trip for the whole family.
